Our Earth and Beyond!

Autumn term 1

Champion In Me
We will be starting a new mini project which will focus on the children's Health and Well being.
During this topic we will look at different strategies to control our emotions, build connections with others, manage any anxieties and how to become the best and happiest version of ourselves. We will also look at aspects of how to stay safe online and use it responsibly.

Our Earth and Beyond

This part of the topic is science based and has been hand picked by our pupils to learn about our Solar System, planets, Galaxies and where we all fit in. ​

Autumn term 2

Our Earth and Beyond

Christmas

This part of our topic will have a geography focus looking at the Polar regions, how animals are adapted to their environment and we will also be looking at the Titanic disaster as highlighted by pupil voice.

We will be focusing on on Christmas craft activities and the meaning behind Christmas.​

Spelling words handed out.
Please learn your words for next Mondays test.
Spelling sheets are given out and do not need to be handed back to the teacher.

Reading books and reading records are to be brought into school daily. Parents please sign the reading record daily.

My Maths homework will be set each Monday and is to be completed by the following Monday.

Maths

All pupils are to read at home daily and parents are to sign the reading records.
Pupils need to bring both their reading book and reading record to school every day. Class Dojos will be given every morning. 

Pupils will be given 10-15 spelling words to learn each week. During the week we will work on these words by developing our sentence writing and handwriting.
A test will be given once a week on a Monday. The spelling sheet does not need to be handed into the class teacher.
