- PE every Monday-leggings/joggers and trainers to be worn.
- Outdoor learning session fortnightly on a Monday-wellies and a waterproof coat needed/wet weather suits if very wet.
- Reading books-Bring to school every Monday and Friday. Books will be changed on these days.
- “My Maths” online homework is generally set weekly on a Monday for
- Year 2 children.
In Penguin Class the children love playing and working together. We have a “Can do” attitude like Ambitious Aled and the children are encouraged to be determined and “Go for Gold” in their work.
This term our “Concept” is “Nature”. Penguin class decided together to look at weather and climates. We have been learning about the four Seasons and comparing hot and cold climates. We have written fact files about animals that live in Polar Regions and will be writing persuasive texts about Arctic Animals. In our Numeracy work we will be focussing on Money and beginning to learn about multiplication and division through sharing in equal groups. We will be beginning count in 2's, 5's and 10's and moving on to learning the 2s,5s and 10s times tables.
